Potty time!

Well I decided today was the day for potty time for everyone!! Potty time for us hasn't really existed as of late. Jake hasn't had anything to do with it.....so what did I do..move on to Will. Not really but since Will has shown his exhibitionist side lately, what with the taking his pants AND diaper off any chance he can get, I decided to try him on the potty. He has always had an interest but when I went to get him from his nap one day and he was completely naked and his diaper thrown into Jake's bed, I decided I needed to make more of an effort.

SO, today was the day and I am proud to report---although I KNOW it is too soon--that Will has gone pee pee on the potty now 6 times!!! today and only one accident so far. YES I SAID WILL--and he was even dry when he woke up from his nap! Jake on the other hand is making it very difficult. He thinks he can tell me he has gone pee pee and I won't know that there is no pee pee in the potty!!! But of course I know and I tell him I know and to keep trying and he just doesn't like that--too many other things to do. There are rewards involved and I'm thinking that if Will is going for it--maybe it will give Jake the umph he needs to JUST DO IT!!! (isn't it supposed to be the 3 year old teaching the 17 month old not the other way around?!) Oh well I don't care as long as I am one less in diapers sometime in the near future---let's say BEFORE December!

No time for pictures--I have been "pottying" all day! haha =) will post some later

Tell Will I said the potty was really overrated. I mean, your underpants are always there, everything gets aired-out when mommy changes you anyway...in the end I just can't see the benefits outweighing the drawbacks.

I'm with Kim on this one! I'm way jealous. Phillip is yet again absurd and I can say that since he's my hubby! We got Ella the potty a few months ago cause she was obsessed with telling me she went poop poop and needed a "biaper" or that she had a peep peep diaper and just wanted a clean one only to go poop poop in immediately. She went poop poop on the potty once and hasn't wanted to touch it since. Good luck and tell me all the tips to a successful potty trained child!

Hooray Will! You know he's just trying to "one-up" his brother.

All I have to say is that the Daddy of these boys did not ride a bike until I, the little sister, did and did not drive until I did. Jake may get the whole...give me a reason...thing from his Daddy. He may have to be one-up'd in order to have the desire. Too funny though...Go Will!!! How cool would it be to only have one in diapers...and that one being the newborn!!! Keep it up..you and they can do it!!!
